Infographics

Infographics is such an excellent tool to transmit data in an exciting, captivating, and illustrational way of conveying a message. It was my first time learning and diving into creating an infographic. I had seen them before however, I had never created one from scratch. It was quite interesting and exciting to say the least. I know that teachers and students would love to learn such websites mentioned below to start creating and setting bloom's taxonomy highest level to the challenge. This activity would be perfect for any teacher to implement in the classroom and prepare students in becoming 21st century learners. The three websites that I had the opportunity to explore are below.

Easel.ly was the first one I explored it was visually appealing offering charts, pictures, color, and different templates to choose. It offered a free version with some upgrades that include minimal charge. However, overall it offered an abundance of different options to customize and create your own infographic designs. This would be my second choice from the three based on the basic and friendly approach to navigate and create.

Piktochart was my first choice simply because when I signed up using my Gmail account it was a very simple process. It offered an abundance of choices from pictures, color, fonts, ready made templates to creating your own. In addition, to sharing a link for others to view is very easy and simple. It does offer some purchases that include upgrades such as the color scheme. However, other than that it pretty had everything and anything to create your own infographic with minimal assistance.

Infogram was my least favorite because it did take me more time to navigate and create the infographic. The approach was not computer friendly where students would have a simple time getting to work. It would create a lesson in depth explaining each component compared to the other two websites which pretty much where click and create. An upgrade that included additional images compared to Piktochart where the options were offered free and endless options were provided. It did offer a basic account free of charge but more options included payment.
