The video shows the NHS tiger mascot to enjoy a day in the library. The video is entertaining simply because it's the school’s mascot and catches the student's attention. It offers many ideas of what to do at the library and guides you with certain policies the library has as far as checking in and out books.

This video shows the artwork that was submitted by students at an UnQuiet Library. It’s a slideshow turned into a video with all the artwork that was created by the students and turned in. I think all the students from the UnQuiet Library would enjoy this video mainly because of the precious art that was handmade by themselves and fellow students at their school.

This video is one of many offered for different Advanced Placement classes. This one is for AP English the educator introduces himself and offers expectations of what to expect in the class. In addition, prior students share their take on the class and offer an insight into what to expect. This is helpful to students being first-timers taking these different classes of AP.

This video is what I feel students would like best because it shows the students having a little bit of fun. While school can be stressful with learning taking place and state assessment being administered. Sometimes it is necessary to have a little bit of fun especially if it's the last year in high school.

This video’s message is mainly on returning library books in an entertaining video. It has over 5,000 views because of the parody approach and music integration. I’m sure it was fun making the video and viewing it as well. All while transmitting the message subtly on returning all the books.

Animoto
Technology is the driving force into innovation Animoto doesn’t disappoint. It is truly a great resource to create endless possibilities when creating mini book trailers to convey any message one wants to transmit. It is a great tool to use for mini-essays, topics, or any idea that comes to mind. I chose the classic book of Madeline. This book is a Caldecott Honor book that has been picked up by many generations.

Bemelmans, L. (1939). Madeline. New York, NY: The Viking Press, A Division of Penguin Group (USA) Inc.

Plot Summary:
Madeline is the main character in the story. The story takes place in Paris, this classic story has a bit of humor, rhythmic patterns, and overall child essence. Madeline’s character is your typical child living their best life in the eyes of innocence, laughter, and overall joy. Until one day she falls sick and is rushed to the hospital with a bad case of appendicitis. Such a traditional and classic story that everyone is attracted to because of its originality and illustrations.

QR Codes

How would you like to start using QR codes in your library?

I already use QR codes in the classroom as a teacher. I teach 2nd-grade students so it is hard for them to navigate so many links. I make it easier for them to access a site we will be using such as Kahoot, Quizlet, or FlipGrid to access the assignment quicker.  We have access to a set of 8 Ipads so it is more convenient and easy access with the QR codes so they can get into the assignment at a faster rate. Everything is already set up for them. However, as I prepare for my librarian journey. I would utilize QR codes in the library for exit tickets on any topic varying from ideas, suggestions, or comments as feedback to better improve the library and its services. I would create a survey for them to access it easier and be able to study the data and make adjustments. In addition, make QR codes of book trailers so it can captivate the patron on any book I’m trying to promote. There are endless possibilities with QR codes you can tie in almost anything and everything you would want the patron to participate in.
